The British period crime-drama series Peaky Blinders finished its sixth season on April 3, 2022. Since then, fans have had questions about a seventh season and whether or not Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby would return to grace fans with his charisma.
Here’s all the Peaky Blinders Season 7 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there a Peaky Blinders Season 7 release date?
Unfortunately, Peaky Blinders will not return for a seventh season, as the sixth season was confirmed by the creators to be its last. Thus, there is no release date for Peaky Blinders Season 7.
However, fans should not get disappointed as a spin-off film that will continue Shelby’s story was announced by Steven Knight to be in development in January 2021. Moreover, the upcoming film will also feature new characters, according to Knight.
The story of Peaky Blinders follows the exploits of the Peaky Blinders gang shortly after World War I. The Peaky Blinders gang is loosely based on a real gang of the same name who were active in Birmingham from the 1880s to the 1910s.
Peaky Blinders stars Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby, Sophie Rundle as Ada Shelby, Helen McCrory as Polly Gray, Finn Cole as Michael Gray, Tom Hardy as Alfie Simmons, Annabelle Wallis as Grace Burgess, and Sam Neill as C.I. Chester Campbell, among other cast members.
Where is Peaky Blinders Season 7 coming out?
Peaky Blinders Season 7 will not come out on BBC as the series has been canceled after six seasons. It will thus also not come out on streaming on Netflix.
The official synopsis for Peaky Blinders reads:
“A gangster family epic set in 1919 Birmingham, England and centered on a gang who sew razor blades in the peaks of their caps, and their fierce boss Tommy Shelby, who means to move up in the world.”
