What happens at the end of Meg 2: The Trench?
Jonas, Jiuming, Meiying, and the others survive their journey to the Oceanic trench.
Jonas’ latest adventures took an unexpected turn after their submarine expedition was heavily impacted by the prehistorical creatures. Even after they manage to resurface (overcoming a sea of troubles, including dealing with a mole in their team), Jonas and the others have to face three megalodons and a series of other deep-sea creatures. While it wasn’t an easy day at the office for Jonas, the beloved diver did save the day and kill the megasharks. Right before the credits start rolling, he can be seen laughing about what happened with Jiuming, Meiying, and the rest of the team, joking that the girl was still grounded.
How did they kill the megalodon?
Jonas killed the megalodon by piercing the animal with a helicopter blade.
Statham’s character had to dig deep to survive this time, considering he faced three megalodons simultaneously. The first two weren’t too much trouble as Jonas got rid of them thanks to a jet-ski-explosive-harpoon combination. The third one, however, was the apex predator and needed more craft to be killed. The final clash is pretty long and involves a giant octopus at a certain point, but it ends with Jonas heroically defeating the megalodon while standing on a rock and with a helicopter blade in his hand.
