Ever since Marvel launched the first season, fans have eagerly waited to find out about the What If Season 2 release date on Disney Plus. The first season of the animated series showed us different possibilities of MCU’s events happening in the Multiverse and then connected them all towards the end for a final battle against Infinity Ultron. However, it also left a few cliffhangers to continue the story in season 2, and it’s understandable why so many fans are looking forward to it.

The What If Season 2 release date could arrive by late December 2023.
What If Season 2 has been in development since before the first season arrived on Disney Plus. It was supposed to arrive in early 2023, but Disney has changed its designation from ‘Early 2023’ to ‘Coming Soon’ on its official ‘Coming Soon’ page. Now according to the latest update from The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel has reshuffled its Disney+ schedule, and What If…? Season 2 arrives sometime around Christmas day 2023.

In season 2, we will get an episode where Iron Man lands on Sakaar and teams up with Gamora. It was originally supposed to be a part of season 1 but was pushed to season 2. In another episode, we’ll see the continuation of Captain Carter and the Hydra Stomper episode where Peggy will have to take on Steve and his Hydra Stomper.
Another episode will make us ponder the question – “What if… the Tesseract Landed in the Sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy.” There are several other unique stories in store for us in season 2. As far as the voice cast is concerned, season 2 will bring back many voices from the first season including Jeffrey Wright, Hayley Atwell, and Lake Bell, among others. But we also expect it to add a few new MCU Phase 4 actors since the second season will incorporate Phase 4 stories into the mix as well.
