After Sony’s successful star-studded action thriller, all eyes are now set on Bullet Train 2. Fans want the next movie from David Leitch on the fast track. But does the sequel have an official release date?
Here’s everything we know so far.
Is there a Bullet Train 2 release date?
Bullet Train 2 could arrive by mid-2025 or 2026.
Sony hasn’t officially announced a sequel yet. But with the money that the original made at the box office — plus popularity it gained on Netflix — another movie feels inevitable.
According to a rumor by Giant Freakin Robot, Sony is developing a follow-up to Bullet Train. Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock will return as the hapless courier Ladybug and his handler Maria Beetle, respectively. They may be joined by the star of this year’s Barbie, Margot Robbie.
David Leitch is currently busy with Ryan Gosling’s The Fall Guy, which will arrive on March 1, 2024. After that, he is expected to return for the film, which could arrive in Mid-2025, similar to the original Bullet Train’s August 2022 release window. If not, then we could expect the sequel to happen in 2026.
Past rumors have also suggested that before a direct sequel to Bullet Train, we could get a prequel based on Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bryan Tyree-Henry’s Tangerine and Lemon. That means the direct sequel could be pushed for a Lemon and Tangerine spinoff.
Where is Bullet Train 2 coming out?
Bullet Train 2 is anticipated to come out in theaters in mid-2025 or 2026.
In the meantime, here’s where to stream Bullet Train. Also, check out the making of the film.
