The intriguing coming-of-age sci-fi movie Crater is finally premiering on Disney Plus. Here’s when to watch the much-anticipated story starring Kid Cudi.
When to watch and stream Crater on Disney Plus
Disney Plus will release Crater at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Friday, May 12.
Kyle Patrick Alvarez (Homecoming) directed the film from a script penned by John Griffin. Briefly, which follows a story of a group of friends living on a moon colony.
“The film follows the story of Caleb Channing (Russell-Bailey), who was raised on a lunar mining colony and is about to be permanently relocated to an idyllic faraway planet following the death of his father (Mescudi),” reads the synopsis. “But before leaving, to fulfill his dad’s last wish, he and his three best friends, Dylan (Barratt), Borney (Hong) and Marcus (Boyce), and a new arrival from Earth, Addison (Grace), hijack a rover for one final adventure on a journey to explore a mysterious crater.”

The cast features plenty of up-and-coming actors, including Russell-Bailey as the protagonist of the story. Grace, a Disney XD alum, is an all-around artist who’s making a name for herself both as an artist and as a singer. Her credits include Gifted, Young Sheldon, and The Handmaid’s Tale, for which she received an Emmy nomination as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. Grace also portrayed Phoebe Spengler in 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a role she will reprise in the upcoming sequel that’s still in production.
