Final Jeopardy Wagers and Winner for June 18

It was a dead heat for much of the match, but Jacob came out as the winner of the June 18 match by way of a conservative bet.

Dan held the lead with $9,900 from the second round, but his guess of “Prairie ____” cost him $8,101. He dropped to third place with $1,799.

Jacob was not far behind with $9,000. His answer of “Broadmoor” was also wrong, but it only cost him $4,200. He ended up in second with $4,800.

Sunny was within striking distance with $6,200, but she wasn’t able to come up with answer in Final Jeopardy. That cost her $4,000 and left her in second with $2,200.

Final Jeopardy Answer for June 18

The correct answer for Final Jeopardy on June 18, 2025 is “What is Biltmore?”

This is a rather high-difficulty clue, unless the contestants know about the Vanderbilt home. More commonly known as the Biltmore Estate, which has been billed as America’s Largest Home, was constructed by George Washington Vanderbilt II from 1889 to 1895. It remains as one of the largest examples of the mansions the wealthy created during the Gilded Age. In 1963 it was given the designation of a National Historic Landmark.

The Vanderbilt family came from Dutch immigrants and the “more” part of “Biltmore” comes from “moor,” which is “a tract of open uncultivated upland.” That might help the contestants get the right answer.
