Black Ops III trailer shows off the new Nuketown
Back in August, Activision and Treyarch announced that a re-imagined version of the fan-favorite multiplayer map Nuketown (AKA Nuk3town) is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Now a new trailer for the bonus map has been released online and can be viewed in the player below. Nuketown will be available free of charge to all players who pre-order the game, which you can do by clicking here.
Set in the year 2065 and refreshed for a new generation of gameplay, Nuketown integrates Black Ops III‘s new momentum-based chained-movement system, taking players into intense close-quarters action that they’ve come to expect. The popular map debuted in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, and returned in Call of Duty: Black Ops II as Nuketown 2025, with an updated look and feel representing the home of the future. As Nuk3town in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, this classic, downloadable bonus map once again delivers quick-hitting action that’s suitable for all game types, but now reimagined for a new generation of play styles to best fit the new movement system.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III will thrust players into a dark, gritty future, where cybernetics and biotechnology have given rise to a new breed of soldier. Empowered by Direct Neural Interface (DNI) technology, players will assume the role of Black Ops soldiers that are interconnected, faster, and more lethal than ever in a new four-player co-op campaign and a completely redefined multiplayer experience.
With a new momentum-based, chained movement system that allows players to move fluidly through environments and maintain constant control of their weapon, Call of Duty: Black Ops III is packed with new multiplayer features. In addition to a new weapon customization system that lets players create unique weapon variants, Call of Duty: Black Ops III introduces the new Specialist system, which lets players choose and rank up to nine elite Black Ops soldiers, each with their own unique look, personality, backstory, and devastating weapons and abilities.
It wouldn’t be Call of Duty without zombies mode and “Black Ops III” is no exception. Titled “Shadows of Evil” and taking place in a 1940s film noir setting, the mode will feature the vocal stylings of Jeff Goldblum, Ron Perlman, Heather Graham, Robert Picardo, and Neal McDonough.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC November 6.
