Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is set to debut a new trailer for the Rocksteady Studios’ Batman: Arkham Knight on April 27 and in anticipation have debuted the first of three teaser videos. What makes this very quick video interesting is that it seemingly shows the character Azrael walking into frame. One of the many sidequests in Batman: Arkham City, the character was around just long enough to offer a cryptic tease to players of “dark days.”
“The prophecy is coming true,” Azrael told Batman in the 2011 title. “You are the warrior who will close the gates of hell. You are the one who will save this day and in doing so events will occur that you cannot stop. From the ashes of Arkham, the fires will rage and Gotham will burn. And you, you will burn too.”
Check out the teaser below and come back here on Monday for the all-new trailer, which has been dubbed “All Who Follow You.”
In the explosive finale to the “Arkham” series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever.
Batman: Arkam Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the “Batman Arkham” series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 23.
