Hello Games has announced that their space exploration video game No Man’s Sky will finally be coming to Xbox One later this year, and it will include every update released so far for the PlayStation 4 and the PC. Along with the game’s launch on Microsoft’s console will come another major update called “No Man’s Sky Next.” Just like the three previous updates (Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises), this future one will also be free. Check out screenshots of what to expect from the new update in the gallery below!
No Man’s Sky was first released on the PS4 and PC in August 2016. Reception was fairly divided, as the game came out with years of marketing hype and mystery from the developers behind it. It has sustained a devoted following amidst the initial mass audience blowback, thanks to the continued support of Hello Games through dozens of small patches that fixed minor problems and the three aforementioned major updates.
In No Man’s Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you’ll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before – and perhaps never will again.
505 Games will distribute the physical Xbox One version worldwide.
