Sony and Microsoft have both announced the slate of March 2018 free games that will be available to subscribing PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members.
PlayStation Plus members will receive the Horror RPG Bloodborne and the platformer Ratchet & Clank for PlayStation 4, plus the action platformer Mighty No. 9 on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, with the action-adventure game Legend of Kay on PlayStation 3, and the adventure horror game Claire: Extended Cut and the arcade game Bombing Busters for PS Vita and PlayStation 4. You can subscribe to PlayStation Plus via this link.
Sony did also announce, however, that starting next year on March 8, 2019, the PS Plus monthly games lineup will focus on PS4 titles only and no longer include PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita titles. This won’t affect any games players already downloaded, or will download, prior to March 8, 2019. Those games will still be part of your PS Plus games library as long as you remain a member. Your game saves and other benefits of PS Plus will also remain the same – the only change is that no new PS3 and PS Vita games will be added to the PS Plus monthly games lineup beyond March 8, 2019.
Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games – two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 – as part of the Games with Gold program. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download the arcade shooter Trials of the Blood Dragon for free during the month of March and the slow-mo shooter SUPERHOT from March 16th to April 15th. On Xbox 360 (with Xbox One backwards compatibility), fans get the movie tie-in Brave: The Video Game through March 15th and the puzzle platformer Quantum Conundrum for free from March 16 to March 31. You can subscribe to Xbox Live Gold via this link.
