Ubisoft teases New Assassin’s Creed, Plus Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2
As part of their fiscal year report for 2016-2017, Ubisoft has confirmed that some fan-favorite titles will be arriving over their next fiscal, which runs from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018, including a new Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 5, and The Crew 2.
“In 2017-18 we will see the exciting returns of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew and South Park,” Yves Guillemot, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ubisoft said. “In 2018-19 we intend to pursue our digital transformation and consolidate our new business model, which is much more recurring and more profitable and is now significantly less exposed to new releases. This revision of our assumptions gives greater visibility for meeting our targets.”
No further details were provided about the three upcoming titles, or what to expect in 2018-2019, but new logos for all three were released which you can find below!
A previous report on the new Assassin’s Creed revealed that the next game in the series could be codenamed “Empire” and would feature an ancient Egypt setting. Fans can expect an official reveal on the game to arrive at this year’s E3.
The most recent entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise was Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, released in 2015; Far Cry Primal was the last entry in the over-the-top action series which debuted in 2016 (the last numerical game, Far Cry 4, arrived back in 2014 along with the first Crew title).
