After a decade of waiting, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is finally on its way, and BioWare and EA recently revealed the game’s principal cast. In addition to the voice actors for Solas, Varric, and Harding reprising their roles, fans can learn about the voice options for protagonist Rook and the actors for the rest of their party.
Who is in the Dragon Age: The Veilguard cast?
Characters are always a focus in Dragon Age games, and according to BioWare, that’s doubly so in The Veilguard. However, the character the player will be spending the most time with is their protagonist, Rook. As with 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition, players can choose between four voices, male or female and UK or North American.
Dragon Age fans heard some of Alex Jordan’s British male Rook in last month’s Veilguard gameplay reveal. Cyberpunk 2077 fans may also know him as the new voice of Mr. Hands in the Phantom Liberty DLC. Meanwhile, NCIS and Love, Death & Robots actor Jeff Berg provides the male Rook’s American accent. Finally, English actress Bryony Corrigan (Baldur’s Gate 3, Good Omens) and American actress Erika Ishii (Apex Legends, Destiny 2) voice female Rook.
As for Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s returning cast members, Solas, Varric, and Harding, are once again voiced by Gareth David-Lloyd, Brian Bloom, and Ali Hillis. Excluding Harding, the Veilguard members include:
- Davrin, a famed monster hunter and Grey Warden voiced by Ike Amadi (Mass Effect 3, Halo 5: Guardians, Marvel’s Spider-Man)
- Bellara, a dimension-hopping Veil Jumper voiced by Jee Young Han (Perry Mason, Unprisoned)
- Neve, a mage detective voiced by Jessica Clark (True Blood, Pocket Listing)
- Taash, a dragon hunter voiced by Jin Maley (Star Trek: Picard, Silicon Valley)
- Emmrich, a necromancer voiced by Nick Boraine (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Sails)
- Lucanis, an assassin voiced by Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West, Married Alive)
Dragon Age fans who want to meet some of The Veilguard’s cast in person can see Neve, Harding, Lucanis, and Emmeric’s actors at the upcoming San Diego Comc-Con. The performers are holding a signing at the Dark Horse Comics booth on July 25 and a panel on July 26.
