Xbox June Console Update

Xbox June Console Update Includes Wi-Fi Improvements

The Xbox June console update is starting to roll out today, and one of its main improvements is the ability to remember up to 10 wireless networks on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Previously, the consoles would only remember one network and those who wanted to change it would have to type in all of the new details every time.

More Home background options have been added in the June update too. Prior to the update, players had to choose between a dynamic background or rotating through game art, but now these can be combined. Dynamic background colors can also be changed without switching profile colors.

Subscription plans like Xbox Game Pass can be updated in the console settings, while recurring billing can also be enabled. Elsewhere, a firmware update is also available for Xbox controllers. The Xbox Adaptive Controller can support more USB accessories and “better support full functionality of some accessibility peripherals.” Meanwhile, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 should disconnect less when headsets are attached.

All PC players now have the Game Pass Sub Navigation Menu that was previewed in the April update. Under the Game Pass tab, all titles from Xbox Game Studios, EA Play, and Riot Games can be accessed directly.

Xbox Cloud Gaming wasn’t left out either. Mouse and keyboard support is now available to all players. Also, enhanced support for managing game data on Xbox Cloud Gaming has been implemented. Game data and cloud saves for games on browser, the Samsung smart TV app, and other cloud-gaming devices can be managed by the player. The aim is that players can troubleshoot corrupted save data themselves, or even to delete the saves and start the game again.
