Steel City Interactive and Deep Silver‘s boxing game Undisputed has gotten a release date for later this year. The game is currently in early access on PC through Steam but will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S when version 1.0 is launched.
The Undisputed release date
Undisputed will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 11. The game will also leave early access on PC on the same day.
The licensed boxing game aims to fill the 13-year void left by the absence of EA’s Fight Night franchise. The roster features more than 70 boxers, including Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Canelo Alvarez, Katie Taylor, and Roy Jones Jr. Players can create a male or female fighter ready to begin their journey toward the title of the Undisputed fighter, whether that’s having the biggest fan base, being the richest boxer, or winning all of the WBO, WBC, IBF, and SCI belts.
Throughout the career, more than 60 different punches, defensive tools, and footwork mechanics are available to be perfected. Fights will take place in 14 different locations starting at local gyms and working toward huge arenas. Todd Grisham and Johnny Nelson provide match commentary.
Two editions of the game will be available — the standard edition and the Deluxe WBC Edition — and preordering either version will unlock a bonus fighter in the form of Roy Jones Jr. ’93. The Deluxe WBC Edition will include:
- The Fighters Pack: Jaime Munguia, Regis Prograis, Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez, Dmitry Bivol, Caleb Plant and Julio Cesar Chavez, along with alternative ring attire for each.
- The Apparel Pack: Alternative ring attire for Claressa Shields, Canelo Alvarez, Oleksandr Usyk, Katie Taylor, Tyson Fury and Amir Khan.
- The Eras Pack: Three young fighter versions – Tyson Fury ’09, Canelo Alvarez ’11 and Muhammad Ali ’64.
- 3 Days Early Play (digital version only)
- Official WBC Patch, as seen on the shorts of many champions (retail version only)
Steel City Interactive also promises free and premium DLC content to follow the game’s launch. Details are scarce but there will be new fighters, apparel, and venues.
