While the hype may have died down slightly, Palworld is still pulling in a lot of fans, and the new update for Xbox has been rolling out. Arriving a little after the patch for the Steam version, the game is continuing to see improvements, even if its stock may be starting to fall slightly.
Still hundreds of thousands playing
A recent post from the official Palworld X account announced that version 0.1.1.4 is now available for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The tweet links back to a previous message about the PC update, suggesting that the changes are the same on console.
That being the case, you’ll likely find there have been a number of fixes, as well as the implantation of countermeasures designed to fight against cheats and exploits. The developer, Pocketpair, says it will “continue development, placing top priority on fixing major problems and issues” while thanking fans for their support.
Currently, there are around 590,000 Palworld players, according to SteamDB, suggesting that it’s still quite the gaming phenomenon. However, there’s a small chance we may be starting to see its popularity drop.
Looking at the latest Steam Top Sellers chart, we can see it’s still at the number four spot, which is mightily impressive. However, this means it has dropped a couple of places, owing to the recent release of Helldivers 2.
With The Pokémon Company/Nintendo said to be investigating Palworld for possible copyright infringement, things may take a turn for the plucky, open-world, survival title. However, for now, “Pokémon-with-guns” continues to reign supreme.
