Nintendo has finally added the long-awaited Mario Party 3 to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass today, October 26. The game will come with the addition of online multiplayer across more than 70 mini-games.
Mario Party 3 is available on Nintendo Switch Online now
Mario Party 3 is available now as part of the Nintendo 64 library included with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, as shown by the trailer above. The game joins the Nintendo 64 Collection alongside titles like F-Zero X, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Tennis, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Lylat Wars, Banjo-Kazooie, and Mario Golf.
The third installment in the Mario Party franchise introduced Waluigi and Daisy as playable characters for the first time. Waluigi even brought his own Waluigi’s Island board with its own traps and contraptions, which was included alongside five other boards. There are more than 70 mini-games such as Tick Tock Hop, Eatsa Pizza, Vine With Me, Picture Imperfect, Snowball Summit, and Eye Sore. The game also was the first to include a Story mode to become the top Superstar in the universe, the new Duel mode, Game Guy, and a variety of new items.
Mario Party 3 joins both Mario Party and Mario Party 2 in the Nintendo 64 library. Mario Party 4 made the jump to the Gamecube console and there is no Nintendo Switch Online Gamecube library at the moment. As such, it seems like players will have to settle for these three games in addition to Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars for their party game fix.
Nintendo hasn’t announced what Nintendo Switch Online games players can look forward to next month, but they have announced that 1080° Snowboarding is coming to the Nintendo 64 library at some point in the future. Golden Sun and F-Zero Maximum Velocity will also be coming to the Game Boy Advance library.
