During Evo 2022, the largest yearly fighting game tournament, producer Tomoko Hiroki announced that the game will be getting PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Additionally, those two consoles and PC will be receiving rollback netcode, which will help its online play substantially. No details yet on how much these new versions will cost, although Hiroki explained that there will be an upgrade program for those that own the game already on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
While this is exciting news, Dragon Ball FighterZ is also content complete and won’t be receiving balance or content updates after the new versions come out.
“With the latest update, which just released a few weeks ago, we believe that Dragon Ball FighterZ has been tuned to its finest,” explained Hiroki. “We do not have any future plans for new characters or additional balance adjustments.”
