Chex Quest HD is out now on the Nintendo Switch. The remake of the 1996 first-person shooter was originally released on PC back in 2020.

The game recently appeared on the Nintendo eShop this week, with the game retailing for $4.99 and available to purchase now. The game is a modern, multiplayer remake of the 1996 title, and features single-player or split-screen multiplayer mode and six different characters to play as, all of them a member of the “Chex Mix Squadron.”
Originally released in 1996 as a conversion of The Ultimate Doom version of Doom, Chex Quest was praised for its unique way of advertising the snack to an audience, with copies of the game included in cereal boxes as a prize. The FPS gained a cult following in the years following its release, with two sequels — Chex Quest 2: Flemoids Take Chextropolis and Chex Quest 3 — releasing in 1997 and 2008, respectively.

The PC version of Chex Quest HD is available for free on Steam, but for those who may be looking to pick up the title and play it on the go, you can find it now on Nintendo’s eShop.
