Creative Assembly Senior Website Editor Ben Barrett spoke about the game on Xbox’s website after the announcement. Barrett said that players can expect add-ons and free updates after launch as well as some surprises. However, Barrett did not dig into what those surprises were just yet.
The game’s FAQ goes into even more detail about the game. Linux and macOS versions will be coming shortly after launch, but no date was given. It states that the Game Pass version will be the same as the versions on the other two non-Microsoft PC storefronts and Creative Assembly’s site and there will be no store-exclusive DLC. All PC players from all storefronts will also be able to play with each other online, too. Just don’t expect a physical version of the game as the pandemic, according to Creative Assembly, has ruled that out.
