Sloclap’s highly anticipated martial arts video game Sifu now has a release date after being revealed earlier this year. It’ll be coming out on February 22, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC through the Epic Games Store for $39.99. The Deluxe Edition will be $49.99.
The release date was at the end of the new Gamescom trailer where it quickly went through a handful of different locales and showed the protagonist kicking all sorts of ass. Host Geoff Keighley said that he played some Sifu and the combat was a lot like the Batman: Arkham title and a fighting game.

Players who pre-order the standard edition will get an exclusive Photo Mode cinematic pack, which is likely full of filters, stickers, frames, or some other enhancements for the game’s Photo Mode. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will get that pack as well as a 10% discount, 48-hour early access, a digital art book, and the game’s soundtrack by Howie Lee, a Beijing-based artist with over 17,200 followers on Soundcloud.

The game takes place in a fictional city in China where the protagonist is out for revenge. Thanks to a magical amulet, running out of health does not spell the end of the game as he only comes back older, which is why some parts of the trailers sometimes showcase a geriatric man throwing the punches and kicks.
