After launching as the first PlayStation Plus title on PlayStation 5 in November 2021 (but for $24.99 for PS4 owners), Bugsnax was both a meme and a respected game. The adventure title sees players exploring a mysterious island and attempting to find and capture various half-bug, half-snack creatures along the way. Following its launch, it quickly became a fan-favorite amongst players, thanks to its catchy soundtrack, unique creature design, and gameplay.
“We’re buzzing with excitement to serve up Bugsnax to a new audience on Steam!” said Young Horses Creative Director Kevin Zuhn in a press release. “We’ll have some meaty news and a few juicy surprises to get people talkin’ bout Bugsnax again later this year.”

Bugsnax was already on PC via the Epic Games Store, but now will be available to players who would rather pick up the game on another service. No concrete release information for a Steam release was given outside of Young Horses simply specifying 2022 as a target, but more information will likely come in the future.
