Evil Dead Rise photos may have gotten some Evil Dead fans excited for the imminent future of the series, but news of the Evil Dead: The Game delay swiftly came to balance things out. Evil Dead: The Game has been pushed to February 2022, but this new release window will result in players getting a new mode.
This additional time is also allowing us to implement a single-player option that will let you enjoy the game when you are without your co-op compadres.

The game’s official Twitter account announced the delay. In the above tweet, it cited the need for extra polish, as is almost always the case when a game slips. However, it didn’t give a specific date within February.

But this delay comes with good news for those who don’t want to play this multiplayer game online. Saber Interactive is implementing a single-player option with bots so people can jump in without other humans. This is helpful for those who want to get their bearings without the stakes being so high.
The asymmetrical horror game was first announced at The Game Awards in 2020. The first bits of gameplay made their debut at Summer Game Fest in June, showing bits of classic characters from the films as well as television series, Ash vs. Evil Dead. It’s still coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
