Fans have been anxiously awaiting more news on the upcoming Psychonauts 2, and during Sunday’s Microsoft and Bethesda showcase at E3 2021, a release date for the game was finally revealed.

Psychonauts 2 will be launching on August 25, giving players the chance to dive into the game that’s been in development for some time. Just like nearly every other game revealed during the showcase, Psychonauts 2 will also launch on Xbox Game Pass, giving players even more reason to dive into the service.

In the brief trailer, we see Raz exploring even more of the weird and unique worlds players will get to see in the upcoming game. Similar to the overall tone of the game, the trailer has a bit of a silly overall tone, which wouldn’t be too shocking considering the original game.

The game, which is being developed by Double Fine, was initially announced years ago, with a crowdfunding effort on Fig launched in 2015. Since then, Microsoft has acquired Double Fine, but Psychonauts 2 will still be coming out for PlayStation 4 alongside Xbox platforms and PC.
