As Crystal Dynamics and Eidos-Montréal work on putting the final touches on the highly-anticipated Marvel’s Avengers, the studio is plotting a reunion with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Iron Man composer Bobby Tahouri to score the superhero game, according to Variety.

“What made composing for Marvel’s Avengers so special is that I got to write music for so many unique superheroes, all in one game,” Tahouri said. “After coming up with one Avengers theme, I designed a palette of sounds and instruments specific to each superhero.”
In addition to working on the second installment in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy and the first installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tahouri is also known for working on the Shia LaBeouf-starring Disturbia, 2010’s Clash of the Titans remake, Despicable Me 2 and video game adaptation of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
“Working with Bobby was amazing. He immediately took to the challenge and always understood what we were going for,” Jack Grillo, principal audio designer at developer Crystal Dynamics, said. “Bobby’s themes are unique and inspiring. I’ve been working with some of these pieces regularly for the past five years and I still got the chills when I heard the final masters for this soundtrack.”
Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
The game invites players to live their Super Hero dreams. Outstanding storytelling and an ever-expanding universe come together in the definitive Avengers gaming experience. Master extraordinary abilities, customize a growing roster of Heroes, assemble into teams of up to four players, and defend the Earth from escalating threats.
