Sony and Microsoft have both announced the slate of September 2019 free games that will be available to subscribing PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members.
Two new titles will join the PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup starting Tuesday, September 3. First up is Batman: Arkham Knight where players will descend into the besieged streets of Arkham City as DC’s most iconic crime-fighting crusader in Rocksteady’s neo-noir action-adventure and explosive finale to the Arkham series. Next up is Darksiders III, a visceral hack-and-slash action-adventure that takes gamers into a dark fantasy world filled with diverse environments, dangerous foes, hidden secrets, and weapons and abilities to unlock.
PS Plus members still have a few days to download August’s lineup, WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4, before they leave on September 2. You can subscribe to PlayStation Plus via this link.
Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games — two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 — as part of the Games with Gold Program. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Hitman: The Complete First Season for free during the month of September. We Were Here will be available as a free download from September 16 to October 15.
On Xbox 360, starting September 1, Earth Defense Force 2025 will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through September 15. Then on September 16, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Tekken Tag Tournament for free through September 30. You can subscribe to Xbox Live Gold via this link.
