Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Marquee on Display a Month Early!

There’s only a month left before Disney World unveils its latest attraction Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in the Hollywood Studios section of the park and the park has given fans an early treat by emblazoning the iconic Chinese Theater with a marquee for the ride. Though the marquee itself won’t be lit until the ride’s opening next month, Disney released a teaser video of the lovable Goofy showing off how the neon sign will look when powered up, which can be viewed below!

The ride is described as a “family-friendly dark ride that offers a zany, out-of-control adventure with unpredictable twists and turns, visual effects and transformations that happen during the scenes.” Parkgoers will step through the movie screen and join Mickey and other Disney friends on a railway adventure as they take part in the world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon short.

Based on the recent award-winning Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, the attraction will use a mix of screens and audio-animatronics alongside a pioneering technology that Imagineering is calling “2 1/2 D” to bring various scenes involving Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and other Walt Disney friends to life.
