Universal’s Epic Universe will offer an entirely new level of experience that will forever change theme park entertainment. Guests will venture beyond their wildest imagination, traveling into beloved stories and through vibrant lands on adventures where the journey is as astounding as the destination.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Universal’s Epic Universe is already under construction on a 750-acre site “a few miles away” from Universal Orlando Resort but “within sight of the convention center.” The site is supposedly double the size of the current acreage of the Universal Orlando Resort.
“Our vision for Epic Universe is historic,” said Tom Williams, CEO of Universal Parks and Resorts. “It will build on everything we have done and become the most immersive and innovative theme park we have ever created. It is an investment in our business, our industry, our team members and our community.”

An entertainment center, hotels, shops, and restaurants will also be featured at Universal’s Epic Universe. Speculation has begun as to which entertainment franchises will be included in the new theme park.
Epic Universe will serve as Universal’s fourth Florida theme park. It follows in the footsteps of Universal Studios Florida, which opened in 1990, Universal’s Islands of Adventures that opened in 1999, and the Volcano Bay water park that opened in 2017. Super Nintendo World has also been confirmed for Universal Orlando down the road.
