The Hollywood Reporter says that the direct-to-video sequel Bambi II is racking up impressive sales and handily beating Wallace & Gromit – The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
Disney’s Bambi II generated first-day sales to consumers of nearly 800,000 units in the United States and Canada. That could put the film on track to hit the 2 million-unit mark its first week in stores.
DreamWorks’ Oscar-nominated “Wallace & Gromit” had day-one sales of 350,000 units in the United States and Canada, leading to likely first-week sales of just under 1 million units.
