The critically hailed ensemble drama Crash shot to the top of the preliminary national DVD sales chart for the week ending September 11, while “Lost – The Complete First Season” finished strong in second.
“Lost – The Complete First Season” even beat one of the month’s most anticipated family releases, the 10th anniversary DVD edition of Toy Story, which bowed at No. 3 on VideoScan’s First Alert sales chart — in itself a strong showing for a catalog title.
On the rental side, Monster-in-Law inched up a notch from its No. 2 debut last week to top Home Media Retailing’s chart for the week ending September 11, earning an estimated $9.1 million. Crash followed with an estimated $8.8 million.
