Over this past summer, filmmaker Jon Favreau brought his new movie Chef, which he wrote, directed and stars in, to film festivals and theaters where it’s been received very well, winning the Heineken Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival before grossing $31.4 million in theaters.
The movie follows Favreau as celebrity chef Carl Casper whose life has hit a rut when he starts butting heads with the owner of the restaurant where he works (played by Dustin Hoffman). After he’s fired, he decides to spend time renovating a food truck along with his sous chef (John Leguizamo) and his estranged son and the three of them go on the road as Casper tries to reinvent himself and get over the rough patch his life has hit.
With the DVD and Blu-ray set to drop today, Tuesday, September 30, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has provided an exclusive deleted scene to ComingSoon.net, which you can watch in the player below.
The scene features an outtake for Amy Sedaris, who plays the publicist for Carl’s wife (Sofia Vergara) who consults with Carl after a very public outburst he has that gets him fired.
