A Dylan Sires-directed true crime documentary titled ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing is underway on Prime Video. According to Variety, its producers are Five All in the Fifth Entertainment, DreamCrew Entertainment, and Five All in the Fifth Entertainment. Its executive producers are Grammy award-winning rapper Drake, Andrew Renzi, and Douglas Banker.
ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing will showcase the exploits of 29-year-old Xaviar Babudar, aka ChiefsAholic. Reports suggest that Babudar is a Kansas City Chiefs superfan and regularly attended the American football team’s games. He was easily recognizable in fixtures because he donned a gray wolf suit every time. Unfortunately, his popularity turned to infamy after his arrest in December 2022.
According to ESPN, the 29-year-old was involved in 11 bank robberies and stole over $800,000 across several states. Also, he laundered the stolen money by visiting casinos. The upcoming documentary will feature an interview with the accused.
When will Xaviar Babudar be sentenced for his crime?
ESPN reports that Xaviar Babudar’s sentencing will take place later this year, on July 10. For his crimes, the court could sentence him to up to 50 years in prison. They have even ordered him to pay $532,675 restitution and forfeit any property he acquired from his criminal activity. This includes an autographed painting of Chiefs talisman, Patrick Mahomes, which he bought at a charity auction.
Xaviar Babudar pleaded guilty to his crimes in February 2024. In a news release, U.S. Attorney Teresa Moore explained that the accused tried to hide the stolen money by gambling online and in casinos, however, his luck gave up on him and he got caught. Moore stated, “The defendant tried to conceal hundreds of thousands of dollars in stolen cash by using it to gamble online and at casinos, but the odds caught up with him.” Babudar is currently held in Leavenworth Federal Prison, Kansas. Even though he cannot attend his favorite team’s matches, he listens to its commentary on a transistor radio.
