A new documentary about Prince Harry, titled Prince Harry’s Mission: Life, Family, and the Invictus Games, will be released soon. Interestingly, it will be released on Hulu instead of Netflix. This news is a surprise because Netflix has a whopping five-year-long £80million deal with the Duke Of Sussex.
According to the Mirror, it is still unknown if Netflix gave the green light to this decision. However, Jane Owen described the various possibilities of this questionable switch. She stated that Netflix certainly knew what was transpiring. She said, “There’s no way that Netflix didn’t know about the documentary. A deal like that with so much money would have had very specific regulations about what hoops Harry would have needed to jump through to make a show with another network.”
Furthermore, she mentioned two possible reasons for this switch: Either Netflix is bored of Harry, or they are planning on a different and much bigger project in the future. Owen is a renowned PR agent.
Jane Owen mentions the possibility of Netflix creating a bigger project with Prince Harry
Jane Owen stated that Netflix might use the aforementioned documentary as a catalyst to work on a bigger Prince Harry project in the future. She said, “What it does show is a potential cooling off in the relationship between Netflix and Harry. It’s possible that Netflix had first refusal of the Documentary and let it go. They may be moving away and severing ties. Alternatively, it could be a power move of Netflix if they have something even bigger in the works with Harry.”
Prince Harry is the youngest son of King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales. He was born on 15 September 1984 and is married to American actress Meghan Markle. Together, they have two children: a son and a daughter.
