Netflix has recently released a docuseries titled You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment, which showcases the impact of various foods on the human body. Its unique format involves four pairs of twins, one of whom followed a plant-based/vegan diet, while the other, followed an omnivore diet.
The results of this eight-week-long experiment astonished everyone, including Stanford University’s research team, which conducted the study. The twins who did not consume meat, seafood, eggs, and dairy saw massive improvements in health. Their life expectancy increased, reduced visceral fat, and reduced risk of heart disease. Furthermore, there was even a massive improvement in their libido.
Following the experiment’s success, one of the participants stated, “For me, plant-based eating is the direction to go.” However, did they stick to healthy ways after the cameras stopped rolling? Thankfully, Tudum by Netflix has given an update on the four twin pairs.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the synopsis of You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment reads,
“Identical twins change their diets and lifestyles for eight weeks in a scientific experiment designed to explore how foods impact the body.”
You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment has four episodes which were released at once on Netflix on January 1, 2024.
