The ongoing Xianxia C-drama The Legend of Shen Li released episode seven on March 20, 2024. It features Lin Gengxin and Zhao Liying in the main roles. The episode focuses on Shen Li (Zhao Liying) leaving Xing Zhi (Lin Gengxin) behind and returning to the immortal realm.
Shen Li bids farewell to Xing Zhi with a kiss on his lips. Shen Mu Yue (Zeng Li), the lord of the demon realm, is infuriated at Shen Li. She does not understand how Shen Li fell for a mortal who will only live for a few decades.
Shen Li is ready to throw away what her lord has worked towards for 500 years for Xing Zhi’s sake. On the other hand, Shen Li cannot stop reminiscing about the days spent with Xing Zhi and how he cared for her when she was the most vulnerable. For defying her orders, Mu Yue confines Shen Li in Xueji Palace, where it snows ceaselessly.
Xing Zhi grows old as decades pass by. Xing Zhi spends his days alone, missing Shen Li. Just like that, 30 years go by. Shen Li is finally freed from house arrest. She grows restless as she cannot wait to see Xing Zhi. As she prepares to leave, Mo Fang (Xin Yun Lai) comes bearing the sad news that Xing Zhi has passed away.

Mo Fang assures her that in death, Xing Zhi looked peaceful, and there was no sign of pain or fear on his face. Although it breaks her heart to pieces, Shen Li vows to live her life well. Meanwhile, the immortal realm prepares as Shen Li’s marriage approaches.
Meanwhile, an auspicious omen occurs in the divine realm. The residents of the realm rejoice as they think a new god has been born in the extra natural heaven. Lord Xing Zhi returns to the divine realm after the death of his mortal body. He is the last surviving ancient god. Xing Zhi reminisces to his companions about his time in the mortal realm and how he met an interesting person.
Furong of the divine world, the person Shen Li is supposed to marry, opposes the marriage. When Xing Zhi hears his appeal, he asks him the reason. Furong tells him that his fiance is always angry and has a captivating personality. Xing Zhi advises to postpone the marriage.
Meanwhile, the seal that protects the Xutian Abyss, the border of the immortal realm, is starting to break. As it remained undisturbed for thousands of years, its recent condition worries everyone. The news of the postponement of the marriage ceremony reaches them.
Shen Li begs Mu Yue that Furong is a womanizer and that she does not want to marry him. But Mu Yue is not ready to listen to her as a close allegiance with the divine sect is the only way to keep the immortal realm safe.
