The dates for Studio Ghibli Fest 2024 have been revealed, beginning in April and running throughout the entire year through a partnership between GKIDS and Fathom Events.
14 different movies from Studio Ghibli co-founders Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata as well as directors Yoshifumi Kondo, Hiroyuki Morita, and Hiromasa Yonebayashi will be shown, beginning with Ghibli’s previous Oscar-winning film, Spirited Away. “The overwhelming success of our special tribute to Hayao Miyazaki in 2023 confirmed the enduring legacy of the Studio Ghibli films and the passion that fans have when it comes to seeing these classics in the theater,” Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Events said. “We’re excited to bring those very fans more of what they want this year, especially through another exciting collaboration with GKIDS.”
