I Parry Everything Anime Reveals Release Date, Additional Cast & More

Earlier today, the official website for Nabeshiki and Kawaguchi’s upcoming anime, I Parry Everything: What Do You Mean I’m the Strongest? I’m not even an adventurer yet! released a new key visual. The announcement also revealed the release date, additional cast members, and the theme song for the anime.

Nabeshiki and Kawaguchi’s highly anticipated anime adaptation will be a part of the 2024 summer lineup. The anime will premiere on July 5, 2024, on the Tokyo MX and BS11 channels at 24:00 JST. Reportedly, Anna Suzuki will perform the opening theme AMBITION,” while the Utah Dream All-Stars will perform the ending “No Gifted.”



 The newly announced cast members include Ayumu Murase, who stars as Rolo, and Shunsuke Takeuchi, who will voice Gilbert. Previously announced cast members include Daiki Hamano as Noor, Ryōko Maekawa as Lynneburg Clays, and Nanako Mori as Ines Harness.

 

As for staff, Dai Fukuyama will direct the series, while Shigeru Murakoshi will handle the scripts. Tatsuhiko Saiki will compose the music. Studio OLM will reportedly be animating the series.

 The newly announced staff includes:

  • Sound Director: Ryō Tanaka
  • Monster Design: Hiroyasu Oda (studio Mogana)
  • Main Animator: Satoshi Horisawa
  • Art Director/Setting: Mikihiro Harabe
  • Color Design: Nanako Okazaki
  • Sub-Character Designer: Toshiaki Ōhashi

J-Novel Club releases the light novel and the manga in English. It describes the story: “The Kingdom of Clays faces a dire crisis: an assassination attempt has just been made on its own Princess Lynneburg, and its neighboring countries eye the aftermath like starving vultures, plotting the Kingdom’s downfall. The ensuing conflict will shape the face of the continent for centuries to come. But Noor doesn’t have a clue about any of that!” 

 

The synopsis continues, “Having arrived at the capital after over a decade of rigorous, isolated training at his mountain home. He’s set on achieving his childhood dream of becoming an adventurer, even if his only skills are useless. Sure, he can parry thousands of swords easily, but everybody knows you need more than that. Our hero’s road to making his dream come true will be long and arduous. However, if there’s one thing Noor’s not afraid of, it’s some good old-fashioned hard work!”
