The My Hero Academia series has given birth to some of the most iconic arcs in shonen history. This goes on to show Kohei Horikoshi’s brilliance and knack for storytelling. Among the numerous arcs in the show, the U.A. Traitor Arc is one of the most emotional yet thought-provoking arcs in the series. Since the beginning, Deku and the other heroes have prided themselves on the importance of teamwork and trust, making the idea of a traitor even more painful to stomach.
My Hero Academia (MHA): The U.A. Traitor finally revealed
Following Stars and Stripe‘s demise at the hands of Shigaraki, Class 1-A starts training for the upcoming battle. Mineta and Denki suggest launching a surprise attack on All for One and the villains. However, Bakugo immediately shoots down the idea, telling them they have never found All for One alone. He tells them the only thing they can do is train and attack them whenever they show up.
Meanwhile, Toru suspects Yuga, as his demeanor is anything but natural. She follows him into the forest and sees his parents delivering instructions from All for One. She then realizes that Yuga Aoyama has been the U.A. traitor the whole time. His parents remind him of the mission to bring Deku to an unsuspecting location, reminding him of everything he had done for them.
It is revealed that Yuga was born reckless and received his Quirk from AFO. Toru shares the same news with Deku, and they successfully capture the Aoyama family. He takes them back to the school, where All Might question them. While the class is stunned by the shocking turn of events, Deku extends a hand to him, telling him he can still be a Hero.
The arc had many interesting moments as the bond between Class 1-A shook with the discovery of the U.A. Traitor. However, they remained together and stood united against All for One.
