A recent announcement revealed that Yoasobi, a popular J-pop duo, will join the crew of Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season. Set to debut this year, it is confirmed that Yoasobi will perform the theme song of the anime series.

Yoasobi gives an update on Monogatari: Off & Monster Season

The announcement of Yaosobi’s performance has created quite a buzz among fans. While the song is titled “UNDEAD,” it is not specified whether the song will be the opening or ending song of the series.

Yoasobi has gained immense popularity in the last few years. This will be the umpteenth time the duo will collaborate with an anime series, following Oshi no Ko and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. Considering how highly acclaimed their work is, audiences are excited to hear their upcoming composition.

A few days ago, NISIOISIN, the creator of the Monogatari Series, uploaded a cryptic post to tease an upcoming anime project. It only featured the alphabet “Y” on a pink background.

There was not much information available back then. In fact, audiences had initially speculated it may hint at the announcement of another season of the anime. However, no one expected the post would tease Yoasobi’s involvement in Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season.

Yoasobi is one of the top artists in Japan at the moment. After performing “Idol,” the theme song for Oshi No Ko, the music duo gained prominence globally as it broke several records. They have even performed the opening for Beastars, titled “Kaibutsu.” Now, with the official news out, Monogatari fans are eagerly looking forward to the release of “UNDEAD” in the upcoming series.
