Anime Characters with ENFJ Personality Type: Luffy, Tanjiro & More

In the MBTI Personality Type, ENFJs are probably something that everyone wants to be once in their life. The self-proclaimed heroes tend to be inclined towards their self-righteous natures and moral values. They’re probably the most adorable person in the group. Their kindness is contagious, and others often find them optimistic.

Anime usually has a fair share of ENFJs as protagonists, or someone from the main cast tends to belong to this personality type. Let’s take a look at some of these fantastic characters who can brighten up everyone around them with their infectious charm.

Monkey D. Luffy

The epitome of ENFJ is probably Monkey D. Luffy, the leader of the Straw Hat Pirates! This personality type is literally called the Protagonist. He has every trait that defines this type, such as being a loud mouth, full of energy, concerned towards his comrades, and focused towards achieving his goal of becoming the Pirate King. His demeanor can motivate others and show them the correct path.

As One Piece progressed, we saw his charm affect others around him. Starting from a disoriented and broken crew, Luffy now has friends who will happily walk on the path toward the ultimate treasure with him.

ENFJs are really compassionate toward their loved ones, and we see this happening when Tanjiro takes care of Nezuko. He is always looking out to make sure that people around him aren’t sad or troubled.

ENFJs are said to be natural leaders. Despite the emotional turmoil he was subjected to, Tanjiro is brimming with optimism and doesn’t want to lose his vision. He is selfless and won’t think twice before catering to someone else’s needs before him. His empathetic nature is shown throughout the series as he tries to understand even the demons.

Jonathan Joestar

An ideal gentleman is said to be patient, sympathetic, and soft in their demeanour. Jonathan Joestar wants to become a true gentleman. There is compassion and honesty in the way he treats others.

He often keeps others before him and is concerned about their well-being. He loves the people who are close to him and takes care of them gently. However, his generous nature doesn’t imply that he isn’t cunning. His strategic mind is lovely and has helped him win several battles. He has great insight, which reflects his Introverted Intuition (Ni), a trait of ENFJs.

Hoshino Ai

Oshi no Ko is a relatively recent series, and audiences are head over heels for Ai Hoshino. This cheerful and amiable idol was much more than what she portrayed behind the masquerade of her extravagant life.

Ai grew up in an environment laced with abuse and ignorance. Intertwined in the web of lies, she lived a dual reality. And this wasn’t something unnatural for idols. Her charm is irresistible, and it helps her attract many people without breaking a sweat. She was a rather genuine person in reality and longed for affection. She is a textbook example of what ENFJs look like.

All Might

The iconic character from My Hero Academia is All Might. He is the pillar of all the Pro Heroes and the idol of the protagonist. His real name is Toshinori Yagi. He was the top Pro Hero, and people considered him the Symbol of Peace.

He decides to become a teacher at the U.A. High School. He is a highly jovial man who perceives the world optimistically. He trains the helpless protagonist at the start of the series, making him the successor of One For All.
