A Condition Called Love episode 1 recap
The episode starts with Hotaro and Kyo having a snack and going to a restaurant. While there, they noticed Hananoi, one of the prettiest boys in their class, had a messy breakup. Kyo starts to tease Hotaro about having a boyfriend, but she doesn’t find any relevance in the statement.
On her way home, Hotaro notices Hananoi sitting alone on a bench. She approaches the bench and shares her umbrella with him. The next day, Hananoi asks Hotaro to be his girlfriend, believing she is his soulmate, but she declines. Despite her no, Hananoi doesn’t give up, asking her to get to know him first.
During PE, Hotaro’s hairpin goes missing, but she brushes it off as unimportant. Hananoi goes back to school during the snow to look for it for her at the risk of his health. When Hotaro learns of this, she yells at him, telling him to take care of himself first. Hananoi gives her her lost pin the next day, telling her he knows it is essential to her. Hotaro, who had come to appreciate him around her, accepted his proposal to try dating.
