Chainsaw Man chapter 161: What happened previously?
Chainsaw Man chapter 161 is titled “Chainsaw Man Puzzle,” and it begins with the surgeons in the Tokyo Devil Detention Center almost wrapping up their business with Denji aka the Chainsaw Man. However, Asa, Fami, Katana Man, and Nail Fiend, break in as intruders.
The surgeons are threatened to be killed if they disobey their orders. The annoyed surgeons agree to give in and allow the intruders to access Chainsaw Man. However, they reveal that they dismembered him and packed the various parts of his body inside boxes.
War Devil Yoru then orders everyone to collect the dismembered parts of Chainsaw Man’s body and fix him back into one piece. As they comply with Yoru’s orders, the group finds one body part after the other, including Chainsaw Man’s hand, heart, and guts.
After Katana Man, Nail Fiend, and Yoru banter for a bit, Yoru reveals how she wants Chainsaw Man to be fully functional to fight him, or her resolution would be meaningless. Yoru also states how she finds romance worthless and believes that it only turns people foolish.
Finally, in the end, Nobana finds Chainsaw Man’s head, which, inevitably, is Denji’s head. When Haruka runs to see the head, he points to it and shows Asa that it is Denji, her boyfriend. This naturally shocks Asa.
However, a Special Division 7 Agent barges in before the scene escalates. Then, he commands his backup to kill Asa and the rest. The last panel of the chapter reveals that this backup is Quanxi, raising excitement amongst readers and setting the stage for an epic confrontation.
