Anime has been witnessing widescale popularity lately, and with Jujutsu Kaizen Season 2 taking the whole industry by storm, fans, new and old alike, are eager to see what the upcoming year has to offer. Starting in 2024, the Winter is packaged with many new titles and recurring series.
Crunchyroll has a stack of series that will air this season, and here are some of the shows worth watching.
Solo Leveling
It’s only fair that this list starts with one of the most anticipated series of 2024. Produced by A-1 Pictures, the show takes place in a world where humans possess supernatural abilities. They are classified as hunters who must battle to abstain from total destruct caused by deadly monsters from different worlds. Sung Jinwoo, often considered the world’s weakest hunter, finds himself in a double dungeon that wipes out his entire party. On the brink of death, a mysterious program called the System chooses him as its sole player and, in turn, allows him to level up his strength.
A Sign of Affection
With noteworthy works such as How Not to Summon a Demon Lord and Ascendance of a Bookworm under their belt, Studio Ajia-do Animation Works is back with a new promising series, “A Sign of Affection.” Yuki Itose is a university student with congenital hearing loss. In addition to sign language, she communicates through text and lip reading. The story revolves around Yuki’s silent world and the people around her.
Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage
Previously, viewers had discovered that Nanashi and NO NAME, two of the top-rated players of the game Attack Families, were, in fact, from the same high school, Fumiya Tomozaki and Aoi Hinami, unbeknownst to each other. Tomozaki embarks on a journey to beat the game of life and move past his gloomy self. After a much-awaited break, he’s back with more stories, more adventures, and perhaps more heartbreaks.
Classroom of the Elite Season 3
It’s a beautiful time to be a Classroom of the Elite fan. After a long hiatus, the anime recently aired Season 2 of the show, and the audience is eager to see what Kiyotaka Ayanokoji is up to after taking down Class-C’s leader, Ryuuen Kakeru and his gang. Now it’s all about their pursuit of Class A and the much-awaited face-off between him and Class A leader and the princess of Advanced Nurturing High School, Sakayanagi Arisu. With the end of the year exams on the horizon, what future awaits him?
Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2
It’s only fair that the list is concluded with the internet’s latest sensation, “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born.” A-1 Pictures is back with a new season of Mashle: Muscle and Magic. In a world where their refined skills and power define the position they hold with their respective magic, the protagonist, Mash Burnedead, does not possess an ounce of magic within his veins. Despite having no magic, Mash enrolls in the magic school, determined to prove that muscles can beat magic, and the latest iteration will undoubtedly bring forth more such moments.
All these series can be streamed on Crunchyroll with English subtitles and dub versions.
