Tower of God chapter 616 recap: Gustang remembers his past with Traumerie
After Damius successfully delivers Bam to Gustang, the latter uses Bam to access the book to retrieve his lost memories. The chapter shows Zahard having Traumerie’s trust and support after recently taking charge of the tower. Meanwhile, the rest of the rankers who climbed up the tower together split up to start families. This was the start of the great families.
He is suddenly approached by Gustang, who wonders what he is looking at. The development shocked Gustang since he knew things like that didn’t usually affect him. However, Traumerie is interested in how the flower came to be since he has nothing to do with it. Gustang tells him how weird it is for them to be apart since they have always been together. But Traumeire doesn’t mind telling Gustang about his nearly completed fish tank.
Gustang proceeds to ask about Zahard, knowing the trust between the two. However, Traumeire evades the question, telling him that everything Zahard does is for the good of the tower. Traumeire discusses the princess’ selection and plans to have his own children once his house is ready.
Later on, Traumerie receives a gift from the master of the workshop. A creature capable of taking on any shape or form but leaves it unattended in his room. The beast chases him around, mimicking the voices of people and taking their shapes. Traumerie, who noticed this, claimed this wasn’t what he wanted.
He tells the creature to become a human because he is lonely. Realizing that Traumei was as lonely as him, the beast preyed until Headon, the highest being in the tower, appeared. Headon tells him it is impossible to turn him into a human being but gives him the option to take over another human’s body. Headon then takes him to a battlefield and points at Enkidu, a man with impressive physical attributes.
A few months later, while Traumerie battles the ancient species, Enkidu approaches him. Traumerie notices the feeling and needs no further explanation, so he welcomes the creature back.
