The official website and the X (formerly known as Twitter) account of Metallic Rouge released a new promotional trailer for the anime. It revealed the series’ release date, details regarding the cast, and theme songs. The anime will be produced by Studio Bones and is set to premiere on January 10, 2024.
Apart from the trailer, a new key visual focusing on the two main characters was also released by the series’ official staff. This original TV anime from Studio Bones was their project to mark the establishment of their studio’s 25-year legacy. Metallic Rouge was first announced in the Fuji TV Anime Lineup 2023 livestream.

The official trailer for the Metallic Rouge shows that the anime will premiere on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming slot starting January 10, 2024. International fans will be able to access the series on the worldwide streaming platform Crunchyroll.
The clip gives an insight into Rouge and her partner Naomi’s battle as Metallic Rouge for human beings. The story revolves around both of these android girls. They get selected by the world government to eliminate nine artificial humans who are hostile to humanity.
The short video brilliantly shows Studio Bones’ expertise in animating the series’ mecha aspect. Besides focusing on Rouge and Naomi, the clip also delves into other cast members. However, it didn’t just trace through the broadcasting details, it also revealed the series’ opening and ending songs. Popular J-pop artist Yu-Ka will be performing the opening song, ‘Rouge,’ while DAZBEE sings the ending theme, ‘Scarlet.’
As mentioned earlier, viewers didn’t just get a promotional trailer for the upcoming anime but also key visuals released by the official staff. This illustration features Rouge Redstar and Naomi Ortmann huddled together with a giant translucent metallic rouge behind them.
