Though the last three episodes of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead faced major setbacks due to production issues, new episodes of the hit anime series are finally coming to Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix. Episodes 10, 11, and 12 are set to premiere on December 25, the anime’s official website announced (via AnimeTV).
The delays during production caused the popular horror comedy to be put on an indefinite hiatus on September 25. Fortunately, the issues appear to have been resolved and the final three episodes will be released just in time for Christmas. All three episodes will be available to stream on the same date, ending Season 1 with a Christmas special.
What is Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead about?
Based on the manga series written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead follows 24-year-old office worker Akira Tendo as he finally decides to spice up his rather boring and repetitive life by creating a bucket list for when a zombie outbreak hits his home country.
“With three years under his belt at the company from hell, Akira Tendo is mentally and physically spent. All at the ripe old age of twenty-four. Even his crush from Accounting, Saori, wants nothing to do with him. Then, just when life is beginning to look like one big disappointment, it happens. The zombie apocalypse descends on Japan! Surrounded by hordes of hungry zombies, Akira comes to a realization that will forever change his life,” the synopsis reads.
The voice cast of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, which debuted on July 9, includes Shuuichirou Umeda as Akira Tendo, Tomori Kusunoki as Shizuka Mikazuki, Makoto Furukawa as Kenichiro Ryuzaki, and Minami Takahashi as Beatrix Amerhauser.
