One Piece Episode 1043 Recap
Kaido refuses to let Yamato open Wano’s borders. Meanwhile, Brook commends Robin for not being affected by Black Maria’s Illusion Mist. While they’re running away, the Illusion Mist gets to Brook. He starts seeing his old crewmates and his former captain from the Rumbar Pirates. He also sees Laboon. Suddenly, Black Maria’s subordinates start attacking Brook while disguised as his former crewmates. The illusion doesn’t affect him, much to the surprise of Black Maria and her subordinates.
Black Maria starts using Wanyudo as her weapon to set fire to their surroundings. Robin uses her Spider Net to keep her and Brook up in the ceiling. Brook uses his abilities to release ice to put out the fire. Meanwhile, Black Maria insults Sanji and Robin because Sanji called for her. Robin insists that Black Maria will not understand Sanji’s motives. On the other hand, Brook takes care of her subordinates. Robin attacks Black Maria. However, the latter counterattacks.
At the Tokage Port, Luffy continues screaming for meat. The Heart Pirates are out of meat, but Luffy is still hungry. Momonosuke and Shinobu rush to Luffy. Momonosuke cries for Kinemon and Kiku, but Luffy tells him to pull himself together because the fight isn’t over yet. Luffy also tells Momonosuke to transform into a dragon so he can bring him back to Onigashima.
