Classroom of the Elite II Episode 4 Recap
Horikita, Ayanokoji, Karuizawa, and Hirata discuss how the school chose the VIPs for the special exam. The VIPs were selected according to the group members’ surnames and the order of the planets in the solar system. They also briefly discuss Ryuen and Class C, who may not be as united as they think. Hirata is glad he can have such types of conversations with Horikita. Meanwhile, Horikita knows that having connections is important, and she won’t always deal with exams alone.
Chabashira briefs the class on the upcoming sports festival. There will be two teams — Team White and Team Red. Team Red is Class A and D. The sports festival will have team events and individual contests. There are several advantages to placing at the top. Winners will receive points in the next written exam, but the bottom ten will receive a deduction. Horikita and Ayanokoji compare the sports festival to the previous special exams. Shortly after, Class D begins discussing how to assign the participants. Horikita proposes to pair the athletic ones with the less athletic ones to ensure they rank higher. However, this means the weaker students will have fewer chances of winning points.
Karuizawa disagrees with Horikita. After Karuizawa asks her, Kushida thinks they should find a middle ground between the opposing thoughts. Hirata asks the class to vote, and Horikita wins. After that, Karuizawa confronts Ayanokoji about how he emailed that Karuizawa should disagree with Horikita, then ask for Kushida’s opinion. Karuizawa asks Ayanokoji what his motives are, and Ayanokoji says he wants Class D to move to Class A. He also anticipates that someone will betray the class during the sports festival.
Finally, the class starts preparing for the festival. Horikita argues with a classmate, refusing to compromise since she thinks the slower person needs to match the faster person’s speed for the three-legged race. Ayanokoji asks Horikita to do a race with him, and he points out that she ignores her teammates. After that, he asks Horikita to go out with him and Kushida the next day to survey Team White. He also tells Horikita he believes Kushida was the traitor in Group Earth.
