Today, it was announced the Slow Loop anime will make its debut in January 2022. Additionally, crew details and a new piece of art that serves as a teaser have been revealed. This news comes from the official Slow Loop anime website, and while it mentions the January 2022 premiere, a specific date is not given.

The site does specify who will be working on the upcoming anime series, though. Noriaki Akitaya is set to direct with Yuka Yamada providing support with the script. Here is the crew working on the Slow Loop anime:

Akitaya has worked on anime series such as Bakuman and Code Geass. Yamada is known for their work on Asteroid in Love and Wataten! An Angel Flew Down to Me. The Japanese animation studio CONNECT has worked on Strike the Blood and Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody.

Lastly, the teaser visual for Slow Loop gives you a taste of what to expect from the anime series in terms of art direction. It features the series’ protagonists Hiyori and Koharu.
Slow Loop originally began as a manga series written by Maiko Uchino. It has been serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward since 2018. Its fourth volume released in January earlier this year. The manga follows a girl named Hiyori who loves fly fishing. During one of her regular fishing sessions, she coincidentally meets Koharu, her stepsister.
