Lionsgate has released the first trailer for their upcoming rom-com/sci-fi film Time Freak starring Asa Butterfield (Ender’s Game, Slaughterhouse Rulez) and Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones, The Dark Phoenix). The film is Andrew Bowler’s first feature-length directorial film and is scheduled to be released in select theaters and on demand November 9. Check out the trailer below!
Time Freak was inspired by Bowler’s 2011 short film of the same name which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film. The film follows the story of Stillman, a brokenhearted physic genius who builds a time machine in order to fix his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Debbie. So after creating a timeline of their romance and a machine to rewind the past, he grabs his wingman, Evan (Skyler Gisondo), and sets off to right every wrong he made with Debbie. But as this insane comedy proves, there are some mistakes too perfect for science to fix. The film also stars Skyler Gisondo, Will Peltz, Aubrey Reynolds and Jillian Joy.
QC Entertainment’s Ray Mansfield and Rhodes Entertainment’s Matthew Rhodes serve as producers. The film is executive produced by QC’s Edward H. Hamm Jr. and Sean McKittrick along with Beach Pictures’ Qianshan ‘Sean’ Liao and Wendy Liao. Jonathan Gray, Justin Bursch, Gigi Causey, Rob Lieber, Keith Wright and Shaun Redick.
