Ubisoft Motion Pictures and New Regency have hired up-and-coming British writer Michael Lesslie to pen their big screen Assassin’s Creed adaptation, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Lesslie is an acclaimed English playwright who wrote “Prince of Denmark,” which was performed at the National Theatre in 2012. The two companies are currently searching for a director to take on the film.
Michael Fassbender will star in and is producing the video game adaptation with Conor McCaughan.
